Fair Trade Fall Sparkle with Dunitz & Company
I am a summer girl through and through but like anyone else, I love when Fall rolls around. New style, apple orchards, crisp air- it's something to look forward to every October.
Still, putting away my bright summer colors is always a bit of a bummer. That's why I love this gorgeous fair trade bracelet from Dunitz & Company. It's a lovely lilac color with just the right amount of sparkle that camouflages into any season! I love this gorgeous cuff specifically because it's a just a hint of summer that I can pull through to my Fall wardrobe. It's also a great way to add a little more sparkle - and a little more me - to sometimes boring work wear.
Dunitz & Company is a small company that employs Guatemalan artisans. Their products incorporate the beautiful weaving, beading, and more from the Latin American culture.
The founder of the company, Nancy, got the idea when she saw how talented the artisans were but how much their products and efforts went to waste without the proper infrastructure to support their businesses.
By partnering directly with artisans, Nancy helps customers around the globe get access to the beautifully created bracelets, earrings, and more. After attending the Global Citizens Festival this past weekend, I have even more appreciation for women owned businesses. It was so aptly said that true economic development only follows the empowerment of women if countries. When women, the heart of societies, can pursue their talents, gain educations, and receive access to proper healthcare, amazing things happen for all of society.
So, this holiday season, I will definitely be browsing Dunitz & Company's large collection of jewelry. There are so many unique gift ideas that I can feel good about purchasing! Each purchase arrives with a little card about the certification from the Fair Trade Federation the company holds and pictures of the artisans behind the business.
